Baker Tilly Stewardship Week 2023 – Ain’t no Mountain too High for This Team

This annual two day event far surpassed expectations and led to a new record. Over 800 pillowcases were ironed, packaged and/or sewn by this seasoned crew of supporters. We were honored to be joined by a Baker Tilly employee’s son, Lucas who was a pillowcase recipient of ours! Lucas, THANK YOU for inspiring us all. Always love working alongside this special team! Summer Fun at Arkema!

Team building at its finest! We had a great afternoon building Coping Boxes for siblings and sewing pillowcases for hospitalized children with this wonderful team from Arkema! Thank you for helping us deliver these invaluable coping resources to families in our local community! #gratefulforyou

“Clap along” with us to thank GBLI! work with this incredible team from GBLI again this summer in support of the children and families served by our mission.  This philanthropic team exemplifies the spirit of service!  Thank you for inviting us back and for treating our volunteers like royalty!  Reach out if you would like to plan an event like GBLI’s with your team.

Celebrating 15 Years, The Sky’s the Limit!

The Sky’s the Limit was a magical evening filled with inspirational stories of our 15 year history as we honored Dr. Richard L. Snyder for his commitment to our mission. We wish you could have been with us at our event to hear our founder, Cindy Kerr’s emotional words of the Kerr family’s journey and her commitment to providing much needed coping resources to families as they navigate their own paths. As we look back on the past 15 years, we are so proud of what we have accomplished as an organization and grateful to our supporters for your generosity that has made it all possible.  To the next 15 years!  📷 SAY CHZ Photos

APRIL, Volunteer Month for Insperity!

April was volunteer month at Insperity! Two of Insperity’s teams in Philadelphia joined forces for double the impact and created 40 Coping Boxes for siblings. Grateful for your commitment to making a difference in your local community and beyond!

Santa Claus Came to Town!

What a perfect way to end our corporate outreach for 2022!  Ryan’s Case for Smiles was honored to be chosen as the service component of Wanhua Chemical’s holiday party.  Team members and their families sewed pillowcases with our wonderful volunteers with SMILES all around.  The festivities included making gingerbread houses and even a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus!  Thank you to Audrey from Wanhua Chemical for your vision of a joyous celebration that included making an impact in the lives of children and families at a time when they need it most.

The last time our Founder Cindy Kerr stood in front of this extra special Christmas tree was in December of 2017 when she was surprised with Super Bowl tickets by then head coach Doug Pederson.  As an Eagles Care Partner, it felt great to be back at the NovaCare Center doing what we love, working together in service with the Eagles families in support of the children served by our mission.  This wonderful crew created 50 Coping Boxes for siblings of children suffering from life-changing illnesses or injuries.  Taylor and Sam from the Eagles organized a wonderful morning filled with holiday spirit and more good memories for us to cherish.

Philanthropy at its finest!

The holiday music was playing setting the tone for a perfect sewing event with the brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. The pillowcases this philanthropic group created will make for an extra special hospital holiday delivery as the children who receive them will no doubt feel the love that was put into every stitch!

She is one in a million!

Please join us in congratulating our very own Janice Hamilton, Case for Smiles Southeast Louisiana coordinator. She was recently recognized as the People’s Health Champion by People’s Health and the New Orleans Saints for her philanthropic work. She was also selected as the 2022 Ryan’s Case for Smiles JoAnn Shaw award winner recognizing outstanding service. Well done and well earned Janice!!
