September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s time for our biggest campaign of the year: Miles of Pillowcase Smiles!

This month, volunteers across North America are coming together with one bold goal: sew 40,000 pillowcases—one for every child receiving cancer treatment in the United States.

Last year, we celebrated an extraordinary milestone: 3 million pillowcases delivered with love. Every stitch, every pillowcase, and every act of kindness helps remind a child and their family that they are surrounded by hope, comfort, and a community that cares. Join us as we work towards our next milestone.

Throughout September, you’ll see our community in action:

• Weekly Counts: Chapter coordinators tally pillowcases from across North America each week.
• Community Sewing Events: Volunteers gather in homes, quilt shops, churches, schools, libraries, and community centers to sew together.
• Local Drop-Off Hubs: Quilt and fabric stores across the country host events and collect completed pillowcases.
• Watch the Impact Grow: Our campaign counter updates in real time as we work toward 40,000 pillowcases and celebrate over 3 million smiles delivered.
