NEWS & EVENTS
Welcome to the Northern Nevada Chapter serving Northern Nevada and Northern California. WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE! We hold periodic sewing events to cut, pin, sew, iron and package pillowcases for sick kids in the hospital and other medical facilities. We send out newsletters prior to the events with all of the information about where and when the event is taking place. Please send your email information to ryanscasennev@gmail.com if you would like to receive our newsletters. If you would like to make pillowcases at home and donate them to us, they can be dropped off at any of the sites listed here on our website.
SPRING CREEK NEVADA
There are a group of ladies in Spring Creek, Nevada that sew beautiful pillowcases for our kids. Every few months I get a delivery of 50 to 100 or more from Shirley Fruge and her band of Angels. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
LASSEN COUNTY FAIR
Laura Roberts, owner of Country Pines Quilt Shop, in Susanville, hosted a large booth at the Lassen County Fair for Ryan’s Case For Smiles. It was decorated with pillowcases and our banner. She brought 8 sewing machines and over 200 pillowcase kits for anyone who wanted to sew to make one. During the fair almost 200 pillowcases were completed out of the most darling fabrics. Lots of kids loved making the pillowcases for sick kids. Laura is such a great supporter of Ryan’s Case for Smiles; we can’t thank her enough for all she does for us and the kids. THANK YOU LAURA!
