NEWS & EVENTS

Welcome to our Chapter. We hope you will join us in helping children feel better to heal better.

News

Our Mid-MO chapter had a fantastic sew day at the American Legion Auxiliary in Jefferson City. At the event, 90 cases were sewn and 141 donations were received. We had a great time! Thank you to all who participated in our 2022 Miles of Pillowcase Smiles event!

Our chapter held a workshop with the American Legion Auxiliary in Jefferson City on October 20th. 73 “SMILES” were sewn that day! Thanks ladies!

CFS volunteers come in all shapes, sizes and…….AGES. Pictured above are two of our youngest, and one of our oldest “smiles makers.” With just a little adult help, Jonathan  (6) and Adelyne (8) have sewn many cheery pillowcases for our Mid-MO Chapter. It is our hope that they’ll continue to share their wonderful talents to help children in need of a smile.

We are thrilled to share that we made our very first delivery to Lake Regional Health System.  Thank you to all of the volunteers  who sewed beautiful pillowcase smiles for the children.  Click here to read the full press release.

“The pillowcases have brightened the mood of multiple pediatric patients,” said Amy Funderburk, R.N., Lake Regional Emergency Department director. “Being a patient in the emergency department is often very scary for a child. These wonderful gifts make it easier to establish a good rapport with the children.”

Volunteers from the Mid-Missouri chapter of Ryan’s Case for Smiles donated hand-sewn pillowcases to hospitalized children at Lake Regional. Ginger Beasley, the Mid-Missouri coordinator, is pictured with Mary Lou Gamm, R.N, BSN, RCN-OB, Lake Regional Women and Children’s Service Line director, and Terri Hall, CTFA, Lake Regional Fund Development director.
